Everest Three Passes Trek Itinerary: 17-20 Day Epic Loop Guide
The Everest Three Passes Trek is Nepal’s premier high-altitude circuit, weaving through the heart of the Khumbu region in a thrilling loop that crosses three legendary passes: Renjo La (5,360m), Cho La (5,420m), and Kongma La (5,535m). This epic journey combines Everest Base Camp (EBC), Kala Patthar sunrise views, the turquoise Gokyo Lakes, the vast Ngozumpa Glacier, and Sherpa culture, all in one unforgettable adventure.
As local experts at Lynx Adventure Tour, we recommend a clockwise direction (starting with Renjo La) for better gradual acclimatization, fewer crowds early on, and a more logical progression from quieter valleys to the iconic EBC area. This 17–20 day itinerary (customizable) includes essential rest/acclimatization days to minimize altitude sickness risks. Total distance: ~170–200 km, with daily walks of 5–8 hours.
Why This Loop? It links the Imja Tse, Khumbu, and Gokyo valleys, offering diverse landscapes, from lush forests to alpine ridges, and 360° panoramas of Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Cho Oyu, and more.
